Roundtable Films has recently completed full picture finishing and delivery on Nick Broomfield & Rudi Dolezal’s Whitney: Can I Be Me which has been delivered to BBC, Showtime and Content Media Corporation and is screening in cinemas worldwide.
Roundtable Films provided digital archive restoration using Digital Vision’s DVO plugins on never before seen footage of Whitney Houston as well as completing full grade and finishing on the film. Framerate conversion and upscaling was completed using a combination of SAM’s Alchemist XF system and Digital Vision’s DVO plugins.
The digital cinema version was mastered from a DCDM using Colorfront’s Transkoder system. “Colorfront Transkoder is an amazing piece of software. It’s lightning fast and has a broad range of creative and editorial tools that allow you to line up all of your deliverables to happen simultaneously.” stated Jack Jones, Technical Director of Roundtable Films. “It was the ideal tool for mastering the DCP and it’s QC tools enabled us to fully check and deliver the DCP as well as being able to make fast inserts without the need to re-encode” he added.
